Beautification Committee Lead

• Set dates for Fall and Spring Cleanup

• Organize volunteers and share what tools to bring (clippers, shovels, baskets, etc.)

• Oversee planting, weeding, mulching, and optional rock garden painting

• Focus on key areas: front garden beds and Moorsbridge sign

• Manage budget and purchases with PTO support

• Optional: add planters, seasonal decorations, or signage with student art, painted rock garden

• Be the main contact for planning and updates; Post before/after photos to celebrate progress

Battle of the Books Committee Lead 

***We have templates and instructions for each element to make it as easy as possible!

• Coordinate BoB at MBE in conjunction with District Leads, including team sign-ups, teacher/administrator/student/parent/coach communications 

• Order supplies:  Books, notepads, awards (PTO-funded)

• Coordinate Moorsbridge’s Mock Battles and School Battle

• Coordinate volunteers: judges, coaches, scorekeeper for School Battle​

• Track spending within PTO budget

• Be the primary contact for questions and updates for coaches/parents.

Winter Dance Committee Lead:

• Create / Oversee a checklist and work with the planning committee to execute. 

• Primary point of contact with questions, decisions, etc.

Committee Volunteers - together, as a committee, you will: 

• Choose a theme (for example, past ones were Glow and Winter Wonderland)

• Coordinate decorations, food/snack sales, and music

• Silent Auction (From Eagle Run Business Donations) 

• Organize DJ & Sound system (Portage has an option for a sound system- we can use if if the DJ doesn't have one.)

• Coordinate ticket sales (pre-sale and event sales)

• Help with advertising: Parent handout, flyer, social media post...

• Plan a backdrop for a Picture-station

• Set up a Sign-Up Genius for volunteers 

• Collect and manage song requests

• Oversee set-up and clean-up plans
