The Moorsbridge Elementary PTO is a nonprofit parent-teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians and school staff at Moorsbridge Elementary School. The Moorsbridge Elementary PTO is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster a supportive and inclusive school community where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Through collaboration with educators, parents, and the Portage community, we aim to enrich the educational experience by providing resources to teachers and students, and organizing events. Together, we strive to create a positive and engaging environment that empowers students to reach their full potential and prepares them for future success."
Meet the Team
Lisa
President
Hi there! I am Lisa Spaans and I am in my third year serving on the PTO board at Moorsbridge, and first year as President. I am a proud Portage Central graduate and am excited to have my children in the same great district. My husband, Jordan, and I have 4 children. Evelyn is in 7th grade at Portage Central, Natalie is in 5th, Luke is in 3rd, & Meredith is in 1st. As a family, we love being outside, sports, staying active, and spending time together. I hope this year to add new faces to our PTO and continue to build our thriving community of families. I am excited to start the year off with the Eagle Run, and all the new things our Nest Keepers are up to. I look forward to connecting with more of you throughout this school year to support our beautiful teachers, staff & students at MBE!
Clint
Treasurer
Hello! I’m Clint and I’m in my third year as the PTO Treasurer. My wife (Kim) and I have lived in Portage for over 10 years and in the Moorsbridge neighborhood for the last 7. We have two daughters: Avery (9) who is going into the fourth grade and Vivian (6) is a first grader. When I’m not updating spreadsheets, I love spending time with the kids by going to the pool, watching KPOP Demon Hunters on repeat, or taking my little soda pop: Poppy, on walks.

Hello! My name is Dagne, and I'm in my second year as PTO Secretary. My husband Cameron and I have two kids. Payton is our 7th grader who’s fully committed to horses and believes mucking stalls is somehow relaxing. Carson is our 2nd grader who loves building Legos and booby traps. Walking barefoot at home is now a high-risk endeavor.

I love being a part of Moorsbridge’s PTO, the wonderful team I get to work with, and the people I get to meet. I’m looking forward to another great year!

I am Kim, this is my 5th year helping out the PTO with the Eagle Run and first year managing the yearbook! I’m so excited to share with everyone all the new sponsors we have for the Eagle Run and unveil some super cool new shirts as well. My husband Clint and I have two girls one in 1st and one in 4th grade for the 2025-2026 school year, we love doing all things crafty, baking and swimming.
Outside of family time I have a part time event planning position and make sugar cookies on the side. I’m looking forward to this school year and meeting new families and adding some exciting things to make our events great.

Hi! My name is Katelyn. This is my first year serving on the board, and I’m excited to be part of this wonderful community. My husband, Adam, and I have two amazing kids—Sawyer, who’s in second grade, and Lyla, our busy and sweet 2-year-old. I’m a former teacher at Moorsbridge Elementary, and I now own Mrs. O’s Preschool, where I get to combine my love for teaching with my passion for early childhood education. I’m looking forward to connecting with families and helping make this a great year!

Hi! I’m Kaila, and I am so excited to be joining the PTO this year to be helping our already amazing volunteer board members. My husband, Brad, and I have two Moorsbridge kiddos, Kane and Aria. When we are not at work or at school, you can usually find us at the ball field or trying to plan a vacation!
